LOF Select is a part of the brand new SCC website https://www.centrale-canine.fr/. This website is in open access and follows 2 goals: information and decision support for selection. The different features available are : "Consulter la fiche d’un chien" = See the record of a dog : with the identification of a dog (name, part of the name, microchip or French studbook number), you can fin the record of this dog, with all the data collected by SCC on this dog: Pedigree- With the 5-generation pedigree, we have reached the limits of printed genealogical documents. The future of purebred dog selection will be digital!
The Société Centrale Canine has followed the good example of other Kennel clubs (The Kennel Club with Mate Select, Swedish Kennel Club with Avelsdata and Finnish Kennel Club with Koiranet) and developed a new decision support tool for breeders: LOF Select.

Health is one of the most important aspects of dog breeding and a central area for Nordic cooperation.

Congratulations - and thank you - to all the NKU members - and especially our IPFD Partners the kennel clubs of Sweden, Finland and Norway. Individually these clubs are amazing in terms of the scope of their efforts and their historical and ongoing commitment to the health and welfare of dogs. Their willingness to share with individual dog breeders and other clubs - through DogWellNet.com and other venues - makes them great role models and leaders in the dog world.

Fleur-Marie Missant, a DogWellNet member, serving in her role with the SCC has graciously translated the article into English. The SCC is proud to present the 5-generation pedigree In 2012 the work of the Breeding commission enabled the SCC to set up birth certificates and 3-generation pedigrees « enriched » with information about DNA (identification, parentage), selection rating, health and performances (breed standard compliance and work).
In 2016 the SCC expanded upon the initial work done to 5-generation pedigrees containing even more key genealogical information.

Here you will also find regulations and guidelines from numerous sources, e.g. governments and other aut- Virtually every kennel club’s mission statement includes the words, “To encourage and promote quality in the breeding of pure-bred dogs”. Identifying and addressing health and welfare issues which impact breeds, dog’s lives, owner’s interactions with their animals and communities through education of dog owners and breeders, judges, governmental bodies and the general public is a primary focus of kennel club’s operations.

Svenska Kennelklubben (SKK), the Swedish Kennel Club, was founded in 1889 and is an organisation for everyone with an interest in dogs. The basic structure of the SKK is that of a representative union of non-profit clubs with approximately 300,000 individual members. Decision-making is done democratically by various committees. The final decisions are made by Kennelfullmäktige, KF (the Kennel Council), who assembles once every second year. All member clubs send delegates to the General Meeting.- The SKK - Svenska Kennelklubben (Swedish Kennel Club) is Sweden's largest organisation dedicated to dogs and dog owners, representing the interests of their 300,000 members – first time dog owners, experienced breeders, hunters, dog lovers, puppy buyers, exhibitors, agility competitors, and many more. The SKK is one of the founding partners of IPFD.
