Breed Specific Instructions - BSI (Swedish Kennel Club)
-
Special Breed Specific Instructions (BSI) regarding exaggerations in pedigree dogs: A health protective project initiated by the Swedish Kennel Club. A general reflection is that the increasing and necessary focus on health and soundness in purebred dogs contains an increasing demand for advanced knowledge about excellent breed type in judges. Show judges are expected to preserve breed type of the purebred dogs – not only the health and life of the dogs with pedigrees.

Breed Watch (The Kennel Club UK)
-
Breed Watch serves as an 'early warning system' to identify points of concern for individual breeds. Its primary purpose is to enable anyone involved in the world of dogs, but in particular dog show Judges, to find out about any breed specific conformational issues which may lead to health problems. These conditions are known as a 'point(s) of concern'.

PEVISA (The Finnish Kennel Club)
-
PEVISA is Finnish and short for "perinnöllisten vikojen ja sairauksien vastustamisohjelma", which translates as "programme against hereditary defects and diseases". Aimed at breeders and breed associations, it includes breeding dog health requirements for all breeds, as well as breed-specific registration conditions. The PEVISA regulations vary from breed to breed; the document is updated annually.

The Swedish Kennel Club's BPH should be helpful for breed clubs, breeders and dog owners to describe the personality of the dog, whether it is a potential breeding animal, pet or working dog. For a person considering buying a dog, BPH can also give a description of the general mentality of various breeds and of the parents of the litter of interest. Every BPH-described dog contributes with a piece of information that increases our understanding and knowledge about the behavior of that specific breed and of dogs in general!
