Judges Education provides support and educational experiences for current and prospective judges. Seminars offered by breed clubs typically provide a venue in which those who want to become judges engage in an in depth examination of traits outlined in a Breed Standard, observation of dogs, discussion with breed experts and hands on practice examining dogs and programs may include coaching on procedural matters, rules and regulations governing judging under a specific system. Pr. Triquet addresses hypertypes, matters of perception of beauty, dog showing and judging, the importance of Breed Standards and Club Newsletters in relating correct ideas about dogs qualities. The guiding statement made is that "beautiful dogs must also be happy dogs". Pr. Triquet concludes, "Purebred dogs, sometimes to their misfortune, are dependent on humans, and it is therefore down to mankind to demonstrate moderation in all things."
