The Kennel Club consists of a maximum of 1500 UK Members plus 100 Overseas Members and a small number of Honorary and Honorary Life Members.
The Club’s leadership includes a President, Vice-Presidents, Trustees, and a non-executive Chairman of the Kennel Club and the General Committee. The General Committee, comprised of Kennel Club members who have been nominated and appointed by the Membership, is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the Club in all its aspects and has, reporting to it, all of the Sub Committees and Boards which help to create the policy for and monitor the various activities in which the Club is involved.
A Chief Executive is responsible for the management of the staff and leadership of business and financial planning and the implementation of strategy. The Secretary and Communications Director is responsible for the press office and parliamentary matters, health and breeder services, the membership area, breed clubs and breed standards, the disciplinary function and the library and art collections.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is the Kennel Club’s Patron.
