Chair of the Finnish Kennel Club’s Scientific Committee, Kirsi Sainio explains on the video how crossbreeding has been done in Finland.

Crossbreeding is something that has been commonly used throughout the history of pedigree dog breeding. Today, this method isn’t that popular and has not been in use. For many breeds, crossbreeding could be a good method for improving traits, health status, and genetic diversity as well as for increasing the gene pool.
